Corporate Volunteer Program

One of the defining characteristics of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is our corporate presence across the states where we live and work. Working alongside like-minded local organizations to help our neighbors and those less fortunate is an important part of our corporate citizenship.
The success of our corporate volunteer program, known as Blue Corps, depends on the many employees who volunteer their personal time to support an array of worthwhile causes. Our hope is that together, we can build upon our heritage of making a positive difference in the lives of others, thereby helping to create a brighter future for us all.
Volunteer Hour Matching Dollars Program
For every verified HCSC employee hour volunteered to a Community Partner, HCSC contributes $20 per hour to the designated charitable organization, not to exceed a total annual contribution of $2,000.
Community Partners
Community Partner relationships are a vital element in achieving our mission. HCSC supports a diverse representation of community organizations. To be considered for inclusion as a Blue Corps Community Partner, an organization must meet the following criteria:
- Be a verified 501c3
- Must have a physical presence in one of HCSC’s states of operation
- Provide direct services (such as research in support of health improvement and/or directly provide health or human services)
- May not support a political cause or candidate
- May not provide services related to religious instruction
- Cannot be a fraternal organization
- Cannot be a veterans organization
- Cannot be an individual
Additionally, a Community Partner organization must fit within the scope of HCSC's corporate community involvement strategy, which focuses on improving community health and wellness for disadvantaged populations. If you would like to apply for community partner status, please fill out an application and then contact the appropriate HCSC Plan volunteer coordinator for assistance:
